Since the brand is iconic to Denver, the University of Colorado at Denver was the first target demo for activation.
Let’s plant our local flag at CU Boulder for Back to Campus with a scavenger hunt, letting students explore for a chance to win TNFxCU gear and rediscover their campus.
We’ll create excitement for the quest through targeted social media and on-campus ads that will give the rules and hype up the potential branded gear. After they’ve completed the quest, they’ll get a prompt to go to the TNF Boulder location to pick up what they’ve won.
Explore & Scan to Win
We’ll place custom designed TNF QR codes on markers all around the campus in interesting locations, like the Varsity Bridge, Folsom Field and more.
Users will scan the marker to interact and sign up for an XPLR Pass account to unlock points for each marker.
They can use these points to track towards unlocking limited availability custom TNF gear.
Scan More, Earn More
Items “cost” a certain amount of marker-scans.
The more markers they find and scan, the better the gear they can get at the TNF store in return.
But they must hurry, these items are limited, and will sell out forever.
Companion App
In their XPLR Pass account app they can check how many scans they have accrued, and how much different gear costs to redeem.
Clues for Exploring
The account app provides clues in the form of hot-spots on a campus map, they appear as a reward from scanning markers, giving students an area to explore for more obscure markers, and seeing more of their beautiful campus.
